*As Scott Lang balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.

“The events of Captain America: Civil War gave us something clear, which is: what was Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne’s reaction to Scott having taken this technology out into the world in Civil War? We had a lot of fun playing around with that.” -Director Peyton Reed

At the same time, it’s undeniable that Pym’s partnership with Scott Lang has proved to be a productive one. As we saw in Civil War, he’s unlocked the ability to transform an Ant-Man into a Giant-Man. Reed assures fans that “we play with size and scale a lot” in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and emphasizes that he loves the idea of Giant-Man. -Screen Rant

*Venom (SONY)

Release Date: October 5, 2018

*Status: Filming/ This plot is unknown

Not much is known yet regarding the plot for the Venom film, but fans found it unusual that Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis is having a solo film without him.

“The larger shared Spider-Man universe is back on at Sony Pictures. Everyone’s favorite symbiote anti-hero, Venom, will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. Venom, a character best known for his original Eddie Brock alter-ego, first appeared in Marvel Comics’ The Amazing Spider-Man #299 and was created by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane in 1988.

This is indeed a solo Venom movie with the film presumably seeking to depict the eponymous character as an anti-hero–this was another facet of his existence in 1990s comics when the character became so popular that Eddie Brock turned from Peter Parker’s worst nightmare stalker into a decent guy defending the poor from even worse predators and serial killers.

Riz Ahmed is also in the film. There are conflicting reports as to who he would be playing, though. Some have him pegged to play the even more villainous Carnage, although THR indicates that isn’t the case.

Michelle Williams will apparently play a New York City District Attorney and a possible love interest for Hardy’s Eddie Brock.” DEN OF GEEK

The film is R Rated and set for release this fall.

Venom stars: {Cast so far includes} Tom Hardy (Eddie Brock), Michelle Williams (Anne Weying), Riz Ahmed (Dr. Carlton Drake), Jenny Slate (unknown) , Woody Harrelson (unknown)
