Scavengers Reign is based off the acclaimed sci-fi short Scavengers Joe Bennett created with Charles Huettner in 2016, it follows a crew of a damaged deep space freighter who are stranded on a beautiful but dangerous planet. Scavengers Reign is a co-production between the work of animation studios Titmouse and Green Street.

The otherworldly series exhibits an absolutely breathtaking intro that immediately captures viewers with its intriguing vibrant colors, gorgeous landscapes, unique creature design and its impeccable use of sound / score which is distributed throughout the magnificent series.
Scavengers Reign – the twelve episode series spun off from the acclaimed 2016 sci-fi short, Scavenge, has dialogue this time around as the original had no voice. The trippy and whimsical score paired with a profound narrative and gorgeous visuals makes for an impressive animation. The series creates its own inventive, vibrant and also terrifying world. Although simplistic in its approach with simple lines the fantasy displays some of the most creative world-building in sci-fi with visually stunning complex environments, unstable ecosystems and fascinating creatures. SR is full of deeply disturbing twists, dread and an overly grim tone encapsulating the suspense of survival. We see humans use creatures as resources, unexpected allies and loads of peculiar occurrences as we witness the dread of what devastation may transpire.

- The Max Original animated series SCAVENGERS REIGN debuts with three episodes THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19 followed by three episodes weekly through November 9 on Max. In this expansion of the 2016 animated short film “Scavengers,” SCAVENGERS REIGN follows several groups of survivors as they attempt to navigate a way off this strange planet where the laws of physics as we know them do not apply.

Co-created and executive produced by animators, writers, and directors Bennett and Huettner, Scavengers Reign was first unveiled at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June, greatly expanding the narrative beyond the haunting source material. Benjy Brooke (Love, Death + Robots) serves as Scavengers Reign’s supervising director alongside executive producers Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Shannon Prynoski and Ben Kalina for Titmouse. The series was co-executive produced by Sean Buckelew and James Merrill for Green Street Pictures.
