FIVE POINTS FEST: designer toy and

comic convention

Designer Toys + Comics + Street Art + Beer + NYC

This past weekend I attended the first annual Five Points Festival curated by Clutter Magazine and presented by Midtown Comics.

This awesome two day event, held in the Lower East Side of Manhattan featured Designer Toys, Beer, Food Trucks, Street Art, Comics and More!

Outside the convention you could find craft breweries and a good range of Food trucks which were provided by Live Fast Group.

The convention consisted of a good size Artist Alley, full of exhibitors, toys, merch, and even comic artist and writer signings!

Midtown Comics held a series of mega signings at their booth both days of the fest.

SATURDAY

• 3:00-4:00: Bryan Lee O’Malley
• 4:30-5:30: Greg Capullo & Scott Snyder
• 6:00-7:00: Dan Slott

SUNDAY

• 2:30-3:30: Greg Capullo
• 4:00-5:00: Nick Spencer

 

I had a blast hanging out and checking out all the cool Merch.

I snagged a bunch of goodies, and chatted it up with some super cool artists. Got some prints signed by some of my favorite artists.

Saw some familiar faces and met some new awesome talented creators.

Definitely a fun event that I would recommend to any comic fan, toy collector or art enthusiast. 

Felt like an old con, good times, great art, and good vibes.
