NYCC: BATMAN BEYOND 20th Anniversary: My Interviews with the Cast & Crew

 

 

I had the opportunity to chat with BATMAN himself KEVIN CONROY and the cast/ creators of Batman Beyond at the New York Comic Con WB press roundtables! Big thank you to G33K- HQ and Warner Brothers! This was such an amazing moment for me, literally meeting my hero. I grew up such a huge Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond fan, I was sooo excited to be a part of this moment in celebrating 20 years of something that was such a big part of my childhood and still is to this day.

At NYCC fans celebrated the series’ 20th anniversary and its upcoming remastered Blu-ray box set release with key members of the Batman Beyond creative team, led by the voices of Batman, Terry McGinnis and Dana Tan – Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series), Will Friedle (Boy Meets World, Kim Possible) and Lauren Tom (Futurama, King of the Hill) – alongside producer Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series), director James Tucker (The Death of Superman, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines), and dialogue and casting director Andrea Romano.

Kevin Conroy, best known for his voice role as the DC Comics character Batman on the 1990s Warner Bros. television show Batman: The Animated Series, as well as various other TV series and feature films in the DC animated universe. Due to the popularity of his performance as Batman, Conroy went on to voice the character for multiple films under the DC Universe Animated Original Movies banner; along with the acclaimed video games Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009), Batman: Arkham City (2011) and Batman: Arkham Knight (2015).

 

Kevin talks playing live-action old Bruce Wayne in the upcoming CW Crisis on Infinite Earth. Filming has already begun on the epic slate of episodes!

He discusses working as a voice actor, techniques he learned working on Batman Beyond, his audition process and other voice acting projects such as Ron Stoppable, Bumblebee and Star-lord.
